One Sheet Country Of Origin Poster.Slate, Wyn and Me is a 1987 Australian film directed by Don McLennan and starring Sigrid Thornton (The Man From Snowy River), Simon Burke (Pitch Black), and Martin Sacks (Ride Like A Girl). Slate, Wyn and Me is a drama of Brothers Burke and Sacks, who rob a bank, kill a cop, and kidnap Thornton, a witness to their crime. The film was made and released about four years after its source novel "Slate and Me and Blanche McBride" by Georgia Savage had been first published in 1983. The principal photography production shoot for this picture ran for about eight weeks. Two endings for the movie were filmed with the one used in the final cut being an amalgam of the pair that had been shot.
