Writer-producer-director Steve Jorell described this movie as "My first film and I had to handle the cast and crew of 40, shoot over fourteen days of the hottest summer Perth had ever seen (112° in the shade, but there wasn't any!) in a quarry with granite walls, a blue metal floor and no escape but a crystal clear pool that was forbidden to all except at the end of a day's shoot. The pool became less inviting when we discovered an 8" deadly dugite (snake) sharing the water with us one day, but we pressed on".
