Dr No Poster One Sheet Original USA 1980's Re-Issue Sean Connery
About this poster: This poster looks extremely similar to the first release poster from 1963 as it has the same Joseph Caroff & Mitchell Hooks artwork and it even has a 1962 copyright date on it.In 1980, United Artists re-released the early James Bond movies, and printed them from the same printing plates as the originals, but they can be easily distinguished from the originals because they are on a glossier paper stock, and also because they do not have the NSS information at the bottom right, but instead the title is in all capitals at the bottom righthand corner. This opportunity is perfect for any James Bond fan who loves the first release artwork but cannot afford nearly AU$3,000.00 for a first release edition. It is a Bond bargain!
Dr. No is a 1962 British spy film, starring Sean Connery, with Ursula Andress and Joseph Wiseman: it is the first James Bond film. Based on the 1958 novel of the same name by Ian Fleming, it was adapted by Richard Maibaum, Johanna Harwood, and Berkely Mather and was directed by Terence Young. The film was produced by Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli, a partnership that would continue until 1975.Dr. No also launched a genre of "secret agent" films that flourished in the 1960s. The film also spawned a spin-off comic book and soundtrack album as part of its promotion and marketing.
