Pinocchio Poster Daybill Original Ultra Rare 1945 Re Issue Disney RKO
Pinocchio Daybill Poster rare Original 1945 re-issue.Note that this poster is undated, but it certainly is from 1945 (or soon after), because the movie has been retitled to "Walt Disney's Wonderful Adventures of Pinocchio", and that was done in the U.S. for its 1945 re-release. Note that this poster has full-bleed borders on the left and right and has NOT been trimmed. This was done by RKO with their daybills from the middle to late 1940s.
Pinocchio is a 1940 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions and based on the Italian children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. It was the second animated feature film produced by Disney, made after the success of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). It was the first animated feature to win a competitive Academy Award – winning two for Best Music, Original Score and for Original Song for "When You Wish Upon A Star", however the film was initially a box office disaster. It eventually made a profit in its 1945 reissue, and today it is considered among the finest Disney features ever made, and one of the greatest animated films of all time.
