One Sheet Posters |
(27" x 40") |
|
|
|
These generally are approx 27" x 40" in size. Prior to the mid 1980's,
all one sheet size posters were issued to the cinema folded.
This size poster is very collectible due to their size. The larger the
poster the harder it is for it to stay in one piece.

Lobby Cards |
(11" x 14" or 8" x 10") |
|
|
|
Lobby Card sets were issued to cinemas as another alternative in
promoting the film showing. In Australia and the US lobby card sets
usually were issued
in two different sizes, either 11" x 14" or 8"x 10" . Each set had 8
cards that were numbered with a different scene appearing on each
card.Older sets usually were printed on heavier and more durable stock
and displayed the film credits.
Lobby Card sets are being made in fewer numbers these days and so are
becoming very collectible. The sets that do get made for today's films
are
often on not as durable stock and do not always come with the film credits
at the bottom. They tend also to vary in quantity per set. some sets can
have up to 19 cards while others will have 10.
Lobby Card sets are very popular as not alot of room is needed to store
or display them. They are economical to frame and offer more of a
insight into
the film with the different scenes.
